Now I'm jobless

Now I'm officially out of work. Yesterday was my last work day at company where I had been working for about a year and a half. I'd say it was a pleasant leaving in some respect. Because my previous jobs I was leaving under the unpleasant stares of my bosses. This time almost everyone wished me a luck, in addition my chief has arranged a send-off. It was unexpectedly and I'm thankful for such treatment and in the same time I felt myself awkwardly because there was a lot of work for our department lately and now I left the department with just 7 workers. But there is nothing I can do with it.
Next week Yana and me are going at first to Kiev where we expecting to see some friends and I have to manage some affairs and after we going to visit my native town Svetlovodsk. I haven't been there for a two years before I started work at this company. I'm looking forward to see mum, unfortunately my brother out of town and I think I haven't seen him for a long time. But he promised to visit us in Australia in a distant future. I hope that in Svetlovodsk we will be able to swim in the Dnieper river because I spent all my childhood doing this in the summertime. There are lot of places which are suitable for a swim.
In St. Petersburg it is white nights now, hence I'm not fast asleep last days, on the other hand it's enough to feel myself freshly.

Still waiting

Three days passed and nothing happened. My boss hasn't showed up at work consequently my sensational statement is postponed until tomorrow. Hence, read about it later.
Today we had a chance to walk on one of the main street of St. Petersburg and I would say that it was awful. Pedestrian area is intolerably narrow whereas the centre is overcrowded. Moreover, a common situation when the half of a road is blocked up by an advertising poster panel. Pavement is covered with tiles utterly unprofessional and has a lot of damaged areas.

Today we also have visited cinema where have watched the new Tim Burton's Movie Dark Shadows. This film is an another vampire's story, but it is (as always with Tim's works) truly a masterpiece. First of all, it is a good cast: Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter and even Alice Cooper personally. Then there are a great number of jokes that is not common for vampire's films. The atmosphere and decorations are on the top. I'd say that the atmosphere and brilliant decorations are the main feature of Burton's work.
One thing that unacceptable for me in our cinemas is translation. I would like that films were shown in cinemas on original language. Like it takes place in our neighbours Finland. I believe that movie is perceive wrongly when you're watching it with translation in addition this translation is distorted by a not always brilliant play of actor who dubs in.

There has been wonderful weather for the last three days. Finally in the middle of May you can have a stroll for your pleasure. The climate is the main reason why I don't like St. Petersburg. It's constant overcast sky, cold wind and short but damp summer.
So today we had superb time in the park where Yana fed squirrels and took photos of them. It's funny how these little creatures are afraid to take a nut from a hand therefore they are running around you. After obtaining the desired nut squirrels try to stock and dig it hereabout. Which I find quite silly since near every squirrel there are a few crows that stalk and raider squirrels' storage.
By the way, today is Victory Day. I saw a lot of people with ribbons of St. George. I've never seen it in Ukraine, hence I suppose it's rather Russian tradition to wear such ribbons on Victory Day. In my view it's a good tradition, but only in case when the ribbon is worn on chest. In other words I consider these ribbons as orders. As a result it's a sign of rudeness and ignorance to wear the ribbons on a bag, a hat or even a car. It's absolute nonsense, it's inadmissible.
Moreover, in the morning when me and Yana were buying nuts for squirrels in the shop there were a lot of drunken people. And everyone bought alcohol. At 11 AM. Yeap, it's a fail nation.
